About Aesthetics Unlocked
About Aesthetics Unlocked.
Who is Aesthetics Unlocked for?
I built it for UK aesthetic practitioners and clinic owners, injectors, advanced practitioners, skin specialists, aesthetic nurses, and the doctors who lead them. The free tasters suit anyone exploring the field; the clinical and business courses suit practitioners who are already qualified and want to operate at a higher standard.
Who is Bernadette Tobin?
I'm the founder of Aesthetics Unlocked. I'm an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with an MSc Advanced Practice (Level 7), NMC registered (verifiable on the public register), a member of the Royal College of Nursing, Senior Lecturer to postgraduate clinicians, Head of Clinical Workforce at an NHS Trust, and founder of Visage Aesthetics, Best Non-Surgical Aesthetics Clinic 2026 (Essex). I'm also a Beauty & Aesthetics Awards Educator of the Year 2026 Nominee.
Why should I learn from Bernadette?
Because the framework I teach has been tested under real fee pressure inside my own award-winning clinic, and at postgraduate level inside the NHS, not invented for an Instagram audience. Aesthetics Unlocked is the only UK platform where I'm the educator: registered, regulated, and clinically accountable for what I teach.
Is Aesthetics Unlocked regulated?
Aesthetics Unlocked is an education brand, not a clinical service, so it sits outside CQC registration. I'm statutorily regulated by the NMC and a member of the Royal College of Nursing. The course content is anchored to NICE, JCCP, CPSA, MHRA, CQC, RCN and ASA standards. See /standards for the full read-out.
What does “unlocking your profit potential” actually mean?
I designed the courses to unlock three things, in this order: clinical confidence, regulatory clarity, and profitable practice. Most practitioners are stuck on one of those three. The framework moves you across all three so the next chapter of your practice, the higher fees, the better clients, the calmer week, becomes possible.
Courses & access
Courses & access.
How do the courses work?
Courses live in the secure Aesthetics Unlocked members area. After you enrol, I'll send you a sign-in link; courses are then accessible 24/7 from any device. Every course is self-paced. You start the day you enrol and work through it at your own speed, with lifetime access. The 5K+ Formula and the RAG Pathway are structured over ten and four weeks as a suggested rhythm, not a locked release schedule, so nothing is drip-fed and there are no cohort start dates to wait for.
Are the courses self-paced or live?
Every Aesthetics Unlocked course is self-paced. You start the day you enrol and move at your own speed, with lifetime access. The full 5K+ Formula and the RAG Pathway are educator-led and structured over ten and four weeks as a suggested rhythm, but there are no live calls or cohort start dates to wait for. The teaching sits in the modules, worksheets, and frameworks you apply inside your own clinic.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. Every paid course closes with a Certificate of Completion that you can use as evidence of CPD for revalidation, insurance, or your own portfolio. The free tasters do not include certificates.
Can I count this toward CPD or NMC revalidation?
Yes, the clinical Aesthetics Unlocked courses are designed to count toward CPD and are appropriate as reflective practice evidence for NMC revalidation. Each course closes with a knowledge-check and a Certificate of Completion you can attach to your portfolio.
Do I need to be a nurse or doctor to take a course?
No. The clinical courses (Acne Decoded, Rosacea Beyond Redness) are designed for any practitioner working with skin who wants NICE-aligned reasoning behind their decisions. The regulatory and business courses suit anyone running an aesthetics practice in England.
Payments & access
Payments & access.
How do I pay?
Card payments via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). Prices are in GBP. VAT applied where required. One-off payment per course, no subscriptions.
How long do I have access for?
Lifetime access on every paid course (Acne Decoded, Rosacea Beyond Redness, Hyperpigmentation Decoded, the RAG Pathway, and the 5K+ Formula). You'll also receive every future update as guidance evolves, at no extra cost.
Are courses transferable or shareable?
No. Each enrolment is for a single named practitioner. If you'd like to enrol your team, get in touch and I'll arrange a multi-seat option.
How do I get in touch?
Email hello@aunlock.co.uk. Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30 GMT. I reply within one working day.
Standards & ethics
Standards & ethics.
What standards are the clinical courses aligned to?
NICE (the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence), the same evidence-based guidance the NHS uses. Every clinical course mirrors the NICE pathway for that condition. For practitioner conduct: the NMC Code, RCN guidance on advanced practice, and the JCCP / CPSA risk-based competence framework.
Will Aesthetics Unlocked teach me to inject?
No. The platform teaches clinical reasoning, regulation, business, and the systems behind a defensible practice. Hands-on injection training requires in-person, supervised teaching that Aesthetics Unlocked does not provide, and would always require a separate insured training pathway.
Does Aesthetics Unlocked give legal advice?
No. Aesthetics Unlocked is education, not regulated legal counsel. The RAG Pathway translates regulatory frameworks (JCCP, CPSA, MHRA, CQC, ASA) into practical decision-making for practitioners, but where a specific situation needs legal guidance, the courses teach you when and how to seek it.
What is the Red, Amber, Green (RAG) model for aesthetics in England?
It is the risk-based system the government confirmed on 7 August 2025 for licensing non-surgical cosmetic procedures in England. Procedures are sorted into three tiers by clinical risk: Green for the lowest-risk treatments, Amber for medium risk, and Red for the highest risk, where the strictest oversight will apply. The exact placement of each procedure is still being consulted on during 2026, so nothing is fixed yet. The principle is set: the higher the risk, the higher the standard of training, premises, and accountability you will need to show. The RAG Pathway takes its name from this model and builds your evidence against it. The full guide is at /regulation.
Will I need a licence to keep practising aesthetics in England?
Not yet, but the requirement is coming. The Health and Care Act 2022 gave the government the power to license non-surgical cosmetic procedures in England, and on 7 August 2025 it confirmed a three-tier Red, Amber, Green model based on clinical risk. No scheme is in force today, and a further consultation on the detail is expected during 2026. Nothing changes overnight, but the practitioners who build their evidence now will meet the standard the day it lands. That is what the RAG Pathway is built to do. The full guide is at /regulation.
