Pigment season

Summer builds the pigment. September walks it into clinic.

UK UV peaks through the summer months, and the pigment it triggers presents in clinic through late summer and autumn: melasma flares, post-inflammatory marks, and sun-induced change that clients want gone before winter. Five presentations, five different plans, and a narrow window where the wrong call triggers rebound.

Heat and light drive melasma

Hormonal signalling, light including the visible spectrum, and heat all feed the hyperactivated melanocyte. A summer of all three is why plans that held in spring slip by August.

Holiday pigment lands late

Sun-triggered pigment surfaces in the weeks after the exposure, so the post-holiday consultation is often the first time the client sees it clearly. Reading the presentation right at that visit decides the year.

Autumn is the correction window

Peels, resurfacing, and the stronger actives belong in the months when UV pressure drops. The practitioners who plan the autumn now are the ones whose results hold to next summer.
